AMZ Tsunami Relief Pedal Custom-made pedal for charity auction A group of pedal builders have joined together to build a selection of custom pedals for auction with all of the proceeds going to a charity relief fund for the Tsunami victims. Musictoyz will handle the auctions and promotion of the project. Donner Rusk is painting custom boxes for the pedals which will give them exclusive one-of-a-kind status. Hopefully this will bring bigger prices at the auction so we can donate more money to this worthy cause. I have been asked to build a pedal for the project and agreed to make an original design circuit for the auction. Bidding has ended on this custom-made pedal. Guytronix was the winner with a bid of $253.77. Congratulations! All of the money will go to the Red Cross relief fund for the Tsunami victims. Pictured below is the blank Hammond box that I have drilled and will box up to ship to Donner. I'll post more pictures as the construction of this pedal proceeds. Donner has finished painting the box that is for the AMZ pedal. The Tsunami Relief Pedal project is featuring a common theme... a shimmering blue paint scheme as shown here. I think it looks terrific! I'm working on the circuit board now so it will be ready when the post office brings the empty box back to me.   10 Jan 2005 I dusted the top of the pedal with some gold flake glitter to make it even more unique. Here is a pic of the Donnerbox with the hardware installed and ready for the circuit board: The circuit board is now drilled, etched and the parts are soldered in place. All that is left is to connect the final wiring to the controls and jacks. This is only the second prototype so some final tweaking may be required. The AMZ Plexi Stack is a versatile overdrive pedal based on an all original circuit design. It can be adjusted from clean boost to mild overdrive to heavy distortion.
