AMZ Goes Solar!
Here is a shot of my new solar battery charger connected to a rechargeable 9v battery. I’m using these special batteries for all of my pedal testing.
The charger came from Harbor Freight and cost $12.
The rechargeable 9v was found on Ebay.
That looks really cool!
Can you post more information? I looked at Harbor Freight and couldn’t find the same charger.
What composition is that battery?
Are there any regulators or anything else that you had to do?
I already use NiMH 9 Volts for my pedals. I think they are great. Rechargable, last long enough.
Solar charging them would be perfect.
I looked on Harbor Freight and no longer see it there but I was in my local store last week and I definitely saw some of them in stock.
I also have one of these: 12v Solar Charger link
Less versatile but it will do the job too.
The batteries are 9.6v Ni-Mh.
Update: This charger is still not in the online catalog but my local store keeps getting new ones in stock.
This is Item 41427 so ask for it at your local retail store.

Edmund Scientific carries that solar panel, but they want $30 for it:
