Guitar FX patents

I often read posts on the pedal forums that claim that guitar effects circuits cannot be patented. The truth is that they certainly can, and many have been issued in the past, including patents for the design of the Cry Baby wah, Univibe, Mutron Envelope Filter and the Pignose amp.

I’ve made a page with links to 50 audio related patents. Enjoy!

Its amazing what you can find when you “dig around” a bit. I often check out patents when i need inspiration. Even if they don’t always list “values”, they give the basis for a design…a breadboard and a bit of math (or trial and error !) and you can find something that was new to you ! I see you and I found many of the same ones interesting !

Anyway Jack – I LOVE this section of the AMZ site…all kinds of great info !

Thanks !
