If you saw my previous post about the V-Dub circuit, then you know what these boards are all about. They are 9v to 18v charge pump converters that will power a single pedal. I have a limited number of them to sell – you get a single populated pcb as pictured above which you can wire into a suitable enclosure or pedal. They are approximately 1.9″ x 1.03″ and will fit in the small Deltron diecast box, Mouser part no. 400-4590.
The updated and revised pc boards are RoHS compliant and now available for purchase.
Thanks!
Well I can’t understand what is the purpose of using this. All I knew is that pedals will work in 9V and any part of the circuit was made to work under 9V.Does this have any gain for using it I suppose using an amp in a live staqe will need a higher voltage from the padals we are using? Is it revelant to the size of the stage and the arena we are using?
Certain types of pedals can benefit from having a higher voltage supply. Boosters will have more clean headroom when powered by 18v as opposed to 9v. Some overdrive pedals also change sound when used at higher voltages and many people like that change.
It has no relevance to the size of the stage or arena.
One could use this inside a guitar in order to power Seymour Duncan Livewires, (18V), from a single 9-volt battery. Also, certain EMG’s respond well to an “18-volt mod”.
Cool circuit.
These pc boards are all gone – SOLD OUT
I plan on adding the schematic to the AMZ CD when I get the time.
Does that mean- there’s an update to the CD happening soon (he asks hopefully…)?
Yes, an update to the CD is in the works.
Any chance of getting the schematic for this? It is exactly what I’m looking for.
Will these boards be available again? … or would you be willing to sell the schematic? It looks similiar to the one on the GEOfx site but with more components so I’m curious how you made it better! … loving your minibooster by the way!
Do you have the schematic available? I would definitely like to have one of these.
It’s now a year later. Are these circuits either for sale, yet, or might you make the schematics available, please? Thank you.
[…] The AMZ V-Dub pc boards have arrived. This is an updated circuit for a 9v-to-18v converter that has more features and improved design. The old V-Dub articles can be found here and here. […]
