I finally got around to doing a few mods on it to see if I could further improve the sound.<br \/>\n<center><!--more--><\/center><br \/>\nI disassembled the pedal and had it modded in short order. I changed the series resistor to the pin 2 modulation input to 10k, as was suggested in the original article. <\/p>\n<p>Next, I replaced the voltage regulator with one that outputs 6 volts instead of 5 volts. I had found that the internal clock of the PT2399 runs faster at the higher voltage, which is needed to make a more convincing chorus effect with that chip.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.muzique.com\/news\/images2\/angel4.jpg\" alt=\"Little Angel chorus gut shot\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The faster clock speed on the PT2399 makes a shorter delay time and I find that the chorus sounds better on the higher voltage.
