AMZ PC Boards
I now have etched and drilled printed circuit boards in stock! The first ones available are the AMZ Mini-Booster, Mosfet Booster and a silicon transistor booster. The boards are 0.062" thick FR4 material, two-layer construction with tin finish over 1 oz. copper and plated through holes. They are sized (1.3" x 1.9") to fit in the typical Hammond 1590B or similar box and have a pair of 1/8" mounting holes already drilled. Included with each board is a printed sheet with schematics, parts layout and suggested mods. AMZ pc boards are RoHS compliant and may be shipped to EU countries.
All purchases from this page will also get you a link to a special AMZ web page for customers only, which includes a wealth of information about using the parts you have purchased. For example, the page for germanium transistors includes schematics to several original designs never before published, such as the "Germanium Power Boost", "GE1 Fuzz", "GE2 Fuzz", "Brownie" and more! Different pages are sent for mosfet booster pcb, mini-booster pcb, germanium transistors and so on.
Multi-Purpose Board for Boosters & Buffers
This is the Multi-Purpose pc board that can be used to build a variety of circuits to use as boosters or buffers, including circuit designs with bipolar silicon, germanium, jfet and mosfet transistors. Each board purchase includes a link to a page of example circuits (with parts lists) that may be used with this board. Read more about this versatile circuit.
A single pc board is $10.00 US plus $2.00 shipping to anywhere in the world. I prefer Paypal payments.

Germanium Transistor Buffer
This is the board for the germanium transistor buffer board that is mentioned in the Guitar FX Blog. Each board purchase includes a free (leaky) AC128 that can be used to build the buffer. Printed instructions with parts placement, parts list and mods are included with every board. Read more about this easy to build circuit.
The original buffer boards are gone but this circuit can be built on the Multi-Purpose PCB. Use this Paypal button to order and I will send you a leaky AC128 with your Multi pcb. A single pc board is $11.00 US plus $2.00 shipping to anywhere in the world.

Mini-Booster
This is the board for the classic mini-booster circuit that has been used in numerous boutique booster pedals. There is more information about it on the AMZ Mini-Booster page. The instructions sent with the board include directions for making several different versions of this fat sounding signal booster.
Printed instructions with parts placement, parts list and mods are included with every board.

Mosfet Booster
Another classic AMZ booster circuit, the Mosfet project is available online for your reference. This circuit makes a clean signal booster with a flat response and very little distortion. Many people claim it adds a 'sparkle' to your guitar sound!
Printed instructions with parts placement, parts list and mods are included with every board.
A single board is $11.00 US plus $1.00 shipping to anywhere in the world. I prefer Paypal payments.

Mail Orders - If you do not have a Paypal account, you can send an order by mail. Use our Parts Order Form which includes complete instructions and the address.
Why buy boards from AMZ? - These boards are for projects and designs that I created. Shouldn't you support the original source so that more projects will be available in the future? AMZ projects are thoroughly tested and confirmed to operate properly. Also, I offer complete support for your construction project in the form of a special help page (url is on the printed sheet that comes with your board) and by email.
Are you interested in further information about the mini-booster and its derivatives? Then look at the AMZ Projects Newsletter and the information available on the AMZ CD-ROM!
Germanium Transistors
Jacques calls the AC128 the "nanotube" for its smooth distortion sound! Read what other comments he has about the AC128. These are NOS transistors and will sell out quickly. They are perfect for a fuzzface or tonebender clone!
Transistors have been tested and guaranteed less than 300uA leakage.
The AC128s are sold out. I suggest the 2N1309 transistors below as an excellent replacement!

The AC188 is a PNP germanium transistor that is the penultimate in transistor distortion devices. Boutique pedal maker Jacques claims that this transistor "works miracles with electric guitars".
A set of 2 of these AC188 transistors is available for $12.00 US. Shipping is and additional $3.00 to anywhere in the world! Transistors have been tested and guaranteed less than 500uA leakage.

These are 2N404A germanium transistors (PNP), which are low gain (hfe>30) and excellent for a variety of vintage circuits. I suggest using one of them for Q1 in the Fuzzface type pedals. I checked a few for leakage and they were less than 100uA. These are NOS and have gold-plated leads. I got them from a supplier of military surplus parts.

These are 2N1309 germanium transistors (PNP), which are high gain (hfe>150) and excellent for a variety of vintage circuits. I suggest using one of them for Q2 in the Fuzzface or for HOT Rangemaster pedals. It is a good replacement for the AC188 which Boutique pedal maker Jacques claims "works miracles with electric guitars". I checked a few for leakage and they were less than 100uA, with many less than 25uA. These are NOS and I got them from a supplier of military surplus parts. UPDATE: These are almost gone...
