Anyway it’s been hinted at in the article but this is steady state behavior, compressors and this one in particular usually have a somewhat slow attack time and also the release, while for a true limiter a quick attack is often desirable.

I have the means to measure attack and decay time but don’t have the hardware set up right now. Maybe in the third article about compressors…
